Job Description

Position: Financial Controller

Job Location: Gurgaon

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Additional controller duties as necessary
  • Monitoring internal controls.
  • Managing financial transactions.
  • Streamlining accounting functions and operations.
  • Developing plans for financial growth.
  • Evaluating and managing risk.
  • Coordinating audit processes.
  • Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans. Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances based on the analysis
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities and develop strategies that work to minimise financial risk.
  • Coordinate and produce all tax documentation as required
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

Requirement and Skills:

  • Proven working experience as a Financial Controller
  • CA or MBA in accounting or finance with Minimum 10+ years’ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
  • Extensive understanding of Indian Taxation
  • Extensive understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Proven experience as a Financial Manager/ Controller.
  • Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst
  • Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
  • Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus
  • Candidate should have mandatory SAP accounting knowledge.

  • Excellent computer skills – MS Office

Remuneration: Salary is negotiable and will be commensurate to qualification, educational background and experience.
