Cessna 172R is a single-engine, high winged aircraft that is very popular and most successful training aircraft worldwide. With forgiving flight characteristics, great visibility, a sophisticated glass cockpit outfitted with G1000 avionics, slow landing speed and a forgiving stall - the Cessna Skyhawk is a flight training favourite ideally suited for student pilots.
The student operates this so-called “glass cockpit” equipped airplane, rather than airplanes with conventional instruments, from the very first flight. As airplanes with “glass cockpits” are growing in numbers in the airline industry. FSTC Flying School has 10 Cessna C172 in operation
The P2008 is a single-engine, conventionally laid out strut-braced high-wing monoplane manufactured by Costruzioni Aeronautiche Tecnam, Italy. It is powered by a Rotax 912ULS flat four piston engine driving a two-blade propeller. Resembling the earlier Tecnam P92 and P2004 in general appearance, the Tecnam P2008 differs by introducing a carbon fiber fuselage and integrated fin. The wings and tailplane are all-metal, which can be adapted to LSA, ultralight, or ELA1 categories.
Tecnam P2008 is the first Tecnam aircraft to incorporate major composite components. It was introduced at the AERO Friedrichshafen 2009 show, with first deliveries in December 2009.
